The Challenge

For two decades, the Southern California Eagles have given players a pre-professional stage in USL League Two, along with a community and a mission that reach far beyond the scoreboard. Online, that story was getting lost. The level of play, the brotherhood, and the purpose behind it all sat in dense blocks of text, and the visuals didn’t match the caliber of the team.

I built a social rebrand to close that gap. Wing displacement maps carry the motion of an eagle in flight, sky and tree textures open up every frame, and two palettes, navy for the men and orange for the women, give each team its own voice within one flock. The result is a feed that feels as elite as the athletes and as warm as the people behind them.
